About me
I'm Annalisa, a ceramic artisan and teacher.
Mialmart comes from the Spanish mi-alma-art / my-soul-art, to express how my energy — born from this irrepressible nature of the soul to shape — is conveyed into every creation.
Since I was a child I have always loved creative work: watching my father restore furniture and finding ceramics and paintings made by my mother around the house were probably the first inputs that brought me here. My passion for clay actually happened by chance later in life, during a period full of changes. The moment I started throwing red clay on the wheel at a ceramics school in my city, I fell madly in love with this technique.
I like to experiment with various modelling techniques — slab, coil, slip casting, moulds — mixing them with the wheel. Even in the delicate decoration phase I love using different firing types such as Raku, Obvara and Bucchero, and creating high-temperature glazes like crystalline ones.
Over time I realised how much I love passing on this passion to those approaching this world for the first time: that's why I run basic ceramics and wheel-throwing courses for anyone who wants to learn this fascinating art.
You can contact me for personalised gifts or special events such as wedding, confirmation and christening favors. Every piece is handcrafted, unique and unrepeatable.
I hope to meet you soon and introduce you to this wonderful world. — Annalisa
